More Scaffolding Gone From Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Guitar

Crews have removed most of the scaffolding from the guitar in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. The guitar’s groovy makeover was revealed yesterday when scrim and scaffolding began to come down.

Only a bit of scaffolding on the left still peeks over construction walls. The guitar’s new paint job is not exactly the same as how it was depicted in concept art but utilizes the same bright color scheme with orange stars.

It appears the red guitar pick has been removed. So has the “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster” lettering, but the concept art indicates it will be returned.

Below is a photo of the guitar from before Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith closed, the concept art for the Muppets makeover, and the guitar today.

The lettering and other parts of the guitar will light up, as they did before.

The nearby poster remains covered by scrim. The Aerosmith poster will be replaced by a poster featuring the Muppets.

The wall behind the guitar has yet to be painted gray like the rest of the building.

The gray also extends to the courtyard’s entrance archway. The upside-down car was also repainted.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will open on May 26, 2026. Check out our last look at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, which closed permanently at the beginning of March.

Disney released the complete tracklist for the Muppets ride featuring rock covers by The Electric Mayhem. In the queue will be Muppet propsThe Electric Mayhem posters, and celebrity cameos.

Disney confirmed Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster previews for Cast Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Annual Passholders.

The story of the ride begins with the purchase of G-Force Records by Muppet Theater owner J.P. Grosse. He’s put his nephew, Scooter, in charge of running things. Guests will encounter Scooter as an animatronic in the pre-show, where they will also meet Miss Piggy, Kermit, and The Electric Mayhem.

To make it to the band’s concert across town in time, guests will board Muppet Labs’ Lengthy Immediate Motion Object – L.I.M.O.
