The larger-than-life sorcerer hat that will be part of the new marquee for The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is en route to its destination.

Thanks to WDWNT reader Matthew, we got to see the sorcerer hat en route to Hollywood Studios. The vehicle transporting it was spotted on Buena Vista Drive last night, April 13, around 10:00 p.m.

The giant sorcerer’s hat is inspired by the real-life Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank, California. Crews have been working on the building for a while now, and it appears that they recently installed some foundational elements for the hat.

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! and consequently the refreshed studio-inspired courtyard will open on May 26. Disney has not announced an opening date for The Magic of Disney Animation. The attraction will include six new meet and greets, an art class hosted by Olaf (instead of live artists), and a playground inspired by Mary Blair’s Alice in Wonderland concept art.
