The final scrim has come down from Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, marking the completion of a project that began over four years ago.

Construction began on the much-needed covered seating area expansion in January 2022. It dragged on until new seating finally opened in April 2025. More of the expansion opened in May 2025.

But scrims remained on two columns. It was finally removed from a domino box column in March, leaving only the kaleidoscope column to be completed — a year later.

Lack of shade and dining space were among the biggest criticisms of Toy Story Land when it opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2018. Disney helped the problem slightly with the opening of Roundup Rodeo BBQ back in 2023.
