Construction work on a new window at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows appears to be complete.
Island Tower Window Construction Complete
During a recent visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we checked on the ongoing construction project at the Island Tower near Wailulu Bar & Grill.
The project began earlier this year when crews started converting a set of exterior doors into a large window designed to better match the surrounding lobby windows facing Seven Seas Lagoon.
Now, the work appears to be finished.
From outside the building, the newly installed floor-to-ceiling window stretches nearly the full height of the lobby wall. Black framing divides the glass into multiple large panes, matching the modern style used throughout the Island Tower.
Fresh landscaping has also been added beneath the completed window, including tropical greenery and colorful flowers lining the base of the exterior wall.
Inside the lobby, guests now have an unobstructed view out toward Seven Seas Lagoon through the completed glass installation. The new window allows significantly more natural light into the space and creates a more open waterfront view near Wailulu Bar & Grill.
The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows officially opened in December 2024 as the newest Disney Vacation Club expansion at Walt Disney World.
Elsewhere at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the resort’s boat dock remains temporarily closed through June 5 as additional refurbishment projects continue around the property. Guests can still access the resort using monorail, bus, and walking path transportation options during the closure.
Have you stayed at the Island Tower since it opened? We’d love to hear about your experience on social media.
