While finishing touches are underway for the new Muppets attraction, Imagineers have pointed out a subtle nod to one enigmatic Muppet on the updated façade.
‘Golden Teeth and Golden Tones’

Walt Disney Imagineering shared a closer look at the updated entrance for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including a new detail inspired by Electric Mayhem’s frontman, Dr. Teeth.

In the video, Imagineer Josh stands in front of the attraction’s massive guitar marquee, which has received a colorful new paint scheme for the Muppets version of the coaster.

The guitar, formerly known for its red Aerosmith-inspired look, now features swirls, stars, rainbow accents, and bright colors more in line with The Electric Mayhem’s psychedelic style.
Josh explains that the story of an attraction begins before guests board the ride vehicle, with the exterior helping establish the tone for what is coming inside.

The video first passes over the attraction’s upside-down limousine, signature oversized guitar, and the recently installed attraction poster.

Josh then directs our attention to the base of the guitar, where the new piano-key design notably includes a single gold-colored key.

This golden key is a visual reference to Dr. Teeth, the frontman and keyboardist of The Electric Mayhem, whose signature look includes a gold tooth. The key is placed slightly off-center, matching the asymmetry of Dr. Teeth’s distinctive grin.
The new Dr. Teeth-inspired gold key is a small addition, but it demonstrates how Imagineering has worked to blend Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster iconography with Muppet-specific charm and references.

With the opening date approaching, more exterior and queue details are likely to be revealed as construction wraps up around the Sunset Boulevard attraction. Just yesterday, we also got our first look at the redesigned on-ride photos, along with a new glimpse at the repainted ride vehicles.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will follow guests on a high-speed trip across Hollywood after The Electric Mayhem goes missing ahead of their concert. The ride will still use limousines, now explained in the story as “Lengthy Immediate Motion Objects,” or L.I.M.O.s, enhanced by Muppet Labs.
