Orlando welcomed a record-breaking 76.7 million visitors in 2025, setting a new all-time high for the nation’s most-visited destination.
76.7 Million Visitors in Orlando in 2025
The announcement was made by Visit Orlando during its annual National Travel & Tourism Week event at the Orange County Convention Center. The new total represents a 1.8% increase over 2024 and marks the highest visitation number ever recorded for the Central Florida tourism market.
Domestic travel drove much of the growth, with 70.3 million visitors traveling to Orlando from within the United States, another new record for the destination. Florida residents accounted for a growing share of travelers, with in-state visitation increasing by 3.4%, though the majority of domestic visitors still came from outside the state.
Overnight stays also remained strong throughout the year. Approximately 49.2 million domestic travelers stayed overnight in Orlando in 2025, representing 70% of all domestic visitors and a 1.8% increase year over year.
International tourism declined slightly, however, with Orlando welcoming 6.3 million international visitors in 2025. That total represents a 2.4% decrease compared to 2024, largely attributed to reduced travel from Canada.
Despite the drop, Canada remained Orlando’s largest international market with 1.1 million visitors. The United Kingdom ranked second with 933,500 visitors, followed by Brazil with 736,300, Mexico with 458,500, and Colombia with 360,000 visitors.
Several international markets continued to show strong growth in 2025 despite the overall decline in international visitation. Visit Orlando reported record-breaking visitor totals from Mexico, Colombia, and Japan, helping offset softer numbers from Canada. Earlier this year, Orlando International Airport launched its first nonstop passenger charter flights to Tokyo, marking Florida’s first direct passenger service connection to the Asia-Pacific region.
Leisure travel continued to dominate Orlando tourism in 2025, accounting for 81% of domestic travelers. Business travel represented 10% of visitors, while international tourism made up 8% of the overall visitor mix.
The meetings and conventions segment also continued to grow, increasing 3.1% year over year to 5.8 million visitors, further reinforcing Orlando’s position as one of the country’s leading convention destinations.
The new Orlando tourism milestone comes shortly after Florida itself reported a record-breaking 143.3 million visitors statewide in 2025.
