Almost three months after opening, the queue for the new Muppets roller coaster is accumulating more paint damage.

Queue Damage Around Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

During our latest visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we noticed additional damage around the queue for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. We previously documented extensive peeling paint throughout the queue shortly after the attraction debuted in May.

A few damaged sections we spotted back in May were quickly repainted, although leftover chipped paint remained visible during later visits. Unfortunately, as of our latest visit, it appears that paint peeling damage has spread into the interior portion of the queue.

A large patch of tan paint has been peeled away from a corner wall found immediately at the building’s entrance. The damaged area exposes the white base layer beneath the finished surface. Its location at the very start of the interior queue makes the damage particularly glaring as guests enter the building – a factor which also makes it noticeable for more careless guests to come along and further peel away the edges.

Outside, multiple sections of the building’s dark gray wall have been chipped or scraped. The missing paint reveals the previous contrasting orange-brown layer underneath. Though it certainly does not compare to the scale of damage we first saw in May, it does show the exterior paint remains vulnerable to chipping almost three months later.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets replaced the attraction’s Aerosmith theme while retaining its existing track and high-speed ride system.
