Aerial photographer bioreconstruct on X shared a series of images today, July 19, showcasing the progress at Disney Lakeshore Lodge.

In the aerial photos from bioreconstruct today, we can see significant progress being made in the resort’s various pool areas. It also appears that the dock going into nearby Bay Lake is nearly complete.

There seem to be light poles in place around the pool deck, which was paved last month, though we cannot be sure from photos if they are temporary lights or permanent ones. A bit more pavement has also been put in place.

This pool deck is the latest development since our last reported glimpse at the end of June:

This latest batch of aerial photos also included photos above the area known as The Wetlands. This includes the resort’s main pool area and lazy river. As you can see, the lazy river’s pool deck has gotten more decorative as additional trees have been planted around the area.

The nearby Lakeshore Lagoon pool area has gotten more pool deck pavement since our last update, but it is not decorated as of yet.

As we reported a few days ago, the resort’s primary feature pool, first introduced as Lakeside Lagoon, is now called Lakeshore Lagoon. Disney has not publicly announced the changes or explained why the original names were replaced.

The revised names appeared in Disney Parks Blog’s “Letters from Lakeshore” series, last updated on June 17. The updated text identifies Lakeshore Lagoon as the zero-entry feature pool located at the center of The Wetlands, the resort’s expansive outdoor recreation complex. The pool will accommodate guests of all ages and include a spiral waterslide.

It also appears from bio’s photos that the dock going into Bay Lake is nearly complete. Though, as bio points out, the roof of the shelter is still absent.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge

In 2018, Disney announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. However, construction was stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The resort was thought to be canceled before Disney resurrected the project as Disney Lakeshore Lodge in 2024.

It will be a fully Disney Vacation Club resort “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” including a lazy river in The Wetlands pool area.

Lakeshore Lodge is set to open in the summer of 2027.
