Cinderella Castle Repainting Begins January 2026
Scott Gustin broke the news on his X account:
NEW: Disney will begin repainting Cinderella Castle in January. The project will start with draining the moat around the castle to prepare for painting. Once work begins, cranes will be lowered and out of sight by noon each day. Work is expected to be completed later next year.

The repainting project will restore Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park to its classic gray, cream, blue, and gold color scheme, as seen in the concept art above.

The castle was last repainted in 2020 with bright pink and royal blue to commemorate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, along with receiving additional gold detailing on its spires and turrets. While the gold details were removed following the 50th anniversary celebrations, the brighter color scheme remained despite receiving mixed reviews from guests.
