It’s safe to say many are excited about the new Beauty and the Beast themed bar coming to the Grand Floridian. With construction starting, the Grand Floridian has been making some changes to accommodate guests during the remodel. First, we told you about the temporary Mizner’s set-up in front of the Grand Floridian Garden Tea Room. Now, the whole Grand Floridian Society Orchestra has moved downstairs to a temporary home as well.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Society Orchestra has moved to a temporary stage area set up in the lobby, directly in front of the current Mizner’s location. Guests will be able to grab a drink and enjoy the music in the lobby during the evenings.
Heading up the grand staircase near the elevator, we find the staircase is roped off to the left.
Upstairs, we also find curtain walls set up to block off the area. Signs are up to inform guests of the refurbishment, as well as the artwork for the new lounge.
On the the other side, you can see the tiered stage previously used by the orchestra. We can see the curtains in the doorway and more walls in front of the old Mizner’s and Commander Porter’s.
We can’t wait to have another themed lounge to enjoy. We’ll continue to monitor the progress on the new Beauty and the Beast themed lounge, so stay tuned to WDWNT.com for more updates. Are you excited about the new Beauty and the Beast bar?
