Greetings from the ever-changing future of Epcot!
There’s far more going on at The Odyssey than meets the eye… and behind that towering wall of scrim that’s been up throughout the blue and pink section painting, there’s a far more interesting piece of artwork.
It’s the new Epcot Experience Center logo. The logo cuts off at one point because of the existing planter and piping , but it’s clearly the same geometric design that debuted at D23:
The new Epcot Experience Center logo has gotten its very own grey and white mural, gracing the side of the building that faces guests as they approach from Future World, or should I say World Celebration and World Discovery, two of the new “neighborhood” concepts being worked into the reimagined Epcot.
We got our first glimpses of the new Epcot logos at this year’s D23 Expo in Anaheim.
A whole new line of merchandise was released to honor both the old logos and welcome in six new logos, with all logos featured on a series of exclusive pins and buttons.
Other new logos include the Play Pavilion, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Journey of Water, and a few others which have not been publicly assigned or identified (although many fans have taken a stab at guessing.) I, for one, am happy I guessed correctly about The Odyssey one:
Are you excited for the upcoming Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience center? You can read more about what it will offer once it opens to guests here.
is it weird that the new logo makes me think of the dharma initiative in Lost?
