Welcome to another magical day at the Magic Kingdom — well, any day at the kingdom of magic is indeed magical! Today started out a bit rocky but it got better. And as always, we promise food.
So as the day starts out, the Monorail is down, so you know what that means: there are only the buses and the ferry boats left, but people are scurrying for both to get to the park as fast as possible.
Going for our trusty bus transportation, the line is long due to holiday crowds but moves quickly.
Anyways, we headed straight to our first stop and were told to look up right away and saw a beautiful, cloudless sky.
The Cinderella Castle roof going back to blue blended in well with the sky.
Walking over to the PeopleMover, we spotted some serious filming going on over at Tomorrowland Terrace.
Still closed and still being tested, the Tomorrowland attraction has an opening date in May. Though every opening date has been pushed back thus far, at this rate, let’s just hope they finish by the 50th Anniversary.
Cool Ship still boarded up, not sure what this means since it was closed anyways.
More concrete tiles being worked on around the Tomorrowland Speedway.
More temporary supports have been removed from the TRON Lightcycle / Run and the funny thing is, a Cast Member said everyone is asking about the PeopleMover constantly and yet no one seems concerned with TRON.
Peter Pan’s Flight… Still no news to be told as the sign is still down, the themed skrim is still up.
Stopping into the Emporium for a moment we saw the popular Cinderella Castle Cookie Jars were back in stock. By the time this post comes out, they will probably be gone again.
Looking for more blue around the park — no, not you Stitch, we mean blue paint.
Like we were saying, we’re keeping an eye out for spires and roofs being painted blue to match the castle and the 50th-anniversary theme, like Pooh spire here
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, although still not open, getting its paint treatment, and this photo is a good example of old versus new as you see the difference in color and darkness of the roofing.
Like we said before, the sky got very cloudy later in the day, although our phones kept saying there was a 0% of rain. Darkening skies, lowering temperatures, cool gusts of wind, our Floridian senses were tingling and we decided to head to our next stop of the day.
Our next stop is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where we found this little guy, who needs a bit of dusting and sunblock. Boy, do we miss birthday calls at guest relations on this phone.
Heading into the resort, we found a little treat, and by found we mean completely surprised. We had to order it at the register, it was $5.99, and if you’d like to see our review check it out here.
We finish up showing more construction on Floridian Way because what’s Disney World lately but lots and lots of construction. Well, thanks for tuning in readers, we’ll be back soon with more news!
