TRON Lightcycle / Run is quickly racing to the finish line over at Magic Kingdom. Two days ago we reported that more temporary supports were being removed as the canopy started taking shape. This process has continued quickly.

Now that the canopy frame is complete, the brown temporary support structure is no longer needed.

Gaps between sections of the support struts can especially be seen here as the canopy starts to stand on its own. With more of these structures removed, this view provides us with a nice look of TRON Lightcycle / Run against Tomorrowland classic, Space Mountain.

The brown support structure is particularly sparse in this section, giving us a nice sneak peek of how the canopy will look upon completion.

Construction workers on lift are hard at work seemingly dismantling the supports of the canopy.

This support structure has become increasingly sparse as TRON Lightcycle / Run zooms towards the finish line. Unfortunately, that finish line is no longer the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.

The interior of the attraction, where the actual track is located, remains a sealed mystery. As we reported late last year, this indicates that construction on that portion of the ride is halted.

As long as you don’t mind some spoilers, you can check out our POV video of TRON Lightcycle Power Run over at Shanghai Disneyland below:
Once complete, the beautiful illuminated canopy structure will dazzle the Tomorrowland skyline. The opening date of TRON Lightcycle / Run is yet to be announced.
