Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- We’re taking a look at the return of annual pass sales, the arrival of Lightning Lane signage and more in our latest photo report.
- Magic Kingdom guests will be able to enjoy the new “Disney Enchantment” fireworks spectacular in an assortment of ways with three new dessert parties starting October 3.
EPCOT
- Two fireworks dining packages will be available at EPCOT starting on October 1 for the debut of “Harmonious.”
- Tomorrow we’ll be able to see the entire collection of “Mouse as Muse” sculptures in Creations Shop, but before then, Walt Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared a look at three more of them.
- Final touches are being added to Creations Shop, lights are being tested, and a menu has been posted at the new popcorn stand. Later in the day, Disney shared a sneak peek at the interior of the new store.
- Candlelight Processional will be returning from November 26 through December 30 as part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
- Lightning Lane signs have replaced even more FastPass+ signs at EPCOT, with the latest round featuring Mission: SPACE and The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
- Space 220 Restaurant opens at EPCOT on September 20, and the menus have now been revealed. But don’t look for a reservation for its opening week. From September 20 through September 26, the restaurant will only accept walk-ins.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Authorities caught a 30-year-old Orlando man giving an unauthorized tour of Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer with a Disney iPad that let him skip the ride lines, according to a new Orange County Sheriff’s report.
- Disney has announced that a new, updated Finding Nemo: The Musical show is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022.
- Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery recently reopened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and debuted three new menu items. We stopped by on our visit to the park to try the new dishes.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Florida residents and Annual Passholders can both save on rooms at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels this holiday season.
- After yesterday’s menu reveal, pricing for Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is now available on the Walt Disney World website.
- Guests will be able to view the “Disney Enchantment” fireworks from the roof of Disney’s Contemporary Resort with a new version of “Celebration at the Top.”
- A new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser filter has debuted on Instagram. The filter gives you a Star Wars makeover and puts you aboard the Halcyon.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Hours are now available for all Walt Disney World theme parks through November 24, 2021.
Disneyland Resort
- In a late breaking story, it turns out that Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin is getting a cultural sensitivity update, pushing Jessica Rabbit to center stage.
- Construction walls are down on the first section of the walkway to Mickey’s Toontown, revealing a peculiar sight: pavement pressed into a brick pattern.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- From October 25th through 29th, Guests visiting Tokyo Disneyland will have the option to purchase a “Halloween Morning Passport”, which will allow early entry to the park and a special greeting parade.
New Merchandise
- A new round of limited edition 50th anniversary vintage postcard-inspired pins are now available at Walt Disney World.
- While shopping on Buena Vista Street today at Disney California Adventure, we spotted some new “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Hocus Pocus” merchandise in Los Feliz Five & Dime.
- The grim grinning ghosts of The Haunted Mansion are about to collide with the exotic fun of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar when a new mug themed to the attraction comes to the lounge at the Disneyland Hotel on Friday, September 17th.
- Sure, it’s still September, but if you’re already over all the Halloween happenings going on, you can get ready for the holidays with two new collections from Loungefly!
