Good morning and happy Monday from Magic Kingdom!
We hopped on the resort Monorail and got off at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to check in on the progress of their gingerbread house.
It was all lit up and ready for inspection this morning! Menu boards are up and ready for the official opening on November 9.
Once inside the park, we dashed into the Emporium to see what new things we can find. The new Mickey Mouse The Main Attraction Big Thunder Mountain Railroad collection is here! The collection is the 9th in the series. So far we only found the backpack, plush, key, and pin but we’re hoping the ears turn up soon!
Much of the holiday collection is still available inside the Emporium. The walls are lined with ears, Spirit Jerseys, and Starbucks tumblers and cups.
A new Mickey Mouse holiday crisped rice cereal treat lollipop set is available near the holiday merchandise for $13.99.
The Mickey Mouse genuine Mousewear has added a beanie to the collection for $24.99. You can find it in the “Fashions” section of the Emporium.
Iajo, Flotsam and Jetsam, Kronk, & Pain and Panic are on this new tiered villains pin for $17.99 on the pin wall. What we wouldn’t do for some of Kronk’s Spinach Puffs.
There’s a new X-Man baseball hat at Box Office Gifts. The cap reads “Xavier Institute for higher learning” and has two pins on either side of the center logo. The cap is $49.99.
The Christmas countdown calendar is now out and off to the side of City Hall where the line queues up. There are only 48 days til Christmas but only 1 more day until the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season!
Crowds were definitely here today. Quite a few rides had upwards of 60 minute waits an hour into park opening. This is only the start of the holiday season, so get ready for them!
Plenty of signs were along Main Street, U.S.A. prompting mobile order for the still available Mr. Toad’s popcorn bucket. The bucket was only supposed to be available until the 4th, but still had times available on the app for pick-up today.
Keep your eyes open around the park today, there are a few new very merry Photopass backdrops like this one in Tomorrowland featuring Stitch.
We got a good look at progress on the Walt Disney Railroad tracks near TRON from up above the PeopleMover. They are nearing completion!
On the opposite side of TRON, a pathway has been framed off by Tomorrowland Light & Power co. where cement has begun to be poured.
Rockettower Plaza Stage has been decorated with tinsel and trees for the DJ dance party coming to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Snoap blowers can be seen from the tresses above as well.
There’s a new Anna nuiMO at Star Traders for $21.99. She arrived just in time for the holiday season, although her sister was nowhere to be found.
Inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Club Tinsel is ready for the Christmas party as well. Usually Sonny takes over the stage during the day, but the stage has been stuck at this level for a few weeks.
Disney Jr Jingle Jam is also set up and ready to go in Storybook Circus. Here you can meet some of your favorite Disney Jr characters and dance with them!
Over in Liberty Square, we found a few new ornaments at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are on this snowy pinecone for $22.99.
Grogu is making snow angels on this swiveling Star Wars Sketchbook ornament for $22.99.
Minnie Mouse peeks our from a holly jolly white Christmas bell topped with a velvet green bow for $22.99.
Santa’s Meet & Greet spot is all ready for him. A large Christmas tree has been placed in the gazebo behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe along with some potted Poinsettia plants.
All that’s missing is Santa himself!
We battled the crowds coming into Main Street, U.S.A. as we made our way out of the park. It was really getting crowded!
Our last stop of the day was at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where we noticed the newly replaced sign for Kona Cafe is already missing.
We’ll keep our eye on it to see if it returns soon. That’s all for today, thanks for following along!
