We recently paid a visit to Tokyo Disney Resort and stayed in a Discover room of the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel. And we figured we’d bring you along for a tour to see if this hotel suits your group! You can watch our video tour of the room below or keep scrolling for more photos and information.

Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel started out as a pair of non-Disney hotels that were purchased and refurbished by the Oriental Land Company before reopening in 2016. As such, it’s outside the rest of the resort and guests have to take a free 20 minute shuttle bus instead of the Disney Resort Line monorail. While this can be a con, it is Tokyo Disney Resort’s cheapest hotel. As a value hotel, the room is smaller than those at other Tokyo Disney Resort hotels.

Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is split into two buildings — Wish and Discover — that are identical except for light theming. Wish is mostly inspired by Fantasyland, while Discover’s theming is more reflective of Adventureland and Tokyo DisneySea. But the real decorative star of the room is the mural stretching across the bed.

From left to right, we see Indiana Jones driving a Jeep from Indiana Jones Adventure towards a rolling boulder with Raging Spirits in the background. Next to that is the iconic scene of a dog holding a key away from caged pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean. A ship battle takes place in the background.

Next are Chip ‘n’ Dale rowing along in one of the Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes. Mount Prometheus and Fortress Explorations sit dead center as one of the Journey to the Center of the Earth vehicles bursts out the side of the mountain. In the oceans below, the giant squid attacks one of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea submarines.

Now we move back to Tokyo Disneyland, with Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Bear taking a plunge down Splash Mountain.

Next to them are the explorers stuck on a totem pole at the Jungle Cruise. And finally we have Stitch in The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha e Komo Mai. A Jungle Cruise boat is directly beneath.

We stayed in a room with four beds. The two smaller ones are dressed up as sofas. There is a small balcony behind the orange and yellow curtains.

The linens on the two larger beds are just plain white.

There are reading lights on small shelves behind the headboard.

There are built-in outlets, including USB outlets, on the side of the shelf. The tube to the side is a flashlight, in case there is loss of power due to an earthquake.

There is a Citizen alarm clock between the beds.

The sofa beds are dressed with light green covers that match the built-in backs and darker green pillows. The sheets beneath are white. Extra pillows are in cases beneath these beds.

The blue carpet features compass roses, stars, and swirls of dots that resemble waves. A small table sits between these two small beds.

A photo of Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea is on the opposite wall from the mural, featuring a DisneySea Transit Steamer and the Nautilus.

The wallpaper behind the dresser/TV stand/cabinet features ride vehicles from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones Adventure, Jungle Cruise, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

The cabinet is blue with green drawers and doors.

In addition to the Panasonic TV on top, there is a tissue box, phone, and hotel-branded notepad.

A shelf within the dresser houses a kettle and mugs. The smallest door hides the safe, while the larger one hides the mini-fridge.

There are three drawers, and you’ll find pajamas available in the top one. The room also comes with slippers by hanging rack, which is behind a panel rather than in a complete closet.

When you turn off the lights, the ceiling glows with stars.

The toilet room is immediately next to the front door, and the shower room is just past that. While the toilet room and sink area have wallpaper featuring lunar charts and compass roses, the shower room is completely unthemed past the door that matches the wallpaper.

As is standard with Japanese bathrooms, you step directly into the shower area and the tub is to the side. Japanese guests often shower separately before soaking in a hot bath after.

In the hotel hallway is striped wallpaper featuring images of tiki birds in their hanging bamboo stands.
