Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et ail Rôtie: Croissant with Goat Cheese, Herbs and Roasted Garlic – $6.95
Rank out of 7: 3
This is exactly what it looks like, a croissant with cheese on top. Really, it’s nothing special. Ours tasted like it had been out a bit, and was starting to go stale. We’d label this as “just okay” and recommend purchasing other items from this booth.
*NEW* Parmentier de Canard A L’Orange: Pulled Duck Confit with Orange Sauce and Garlic-Rosemary Mashed Potatoes – $7.95
Rank out of 7: 5
This isn’t bad for theme park counter service duck, and the orange flavor comes through in the right amount. Overall, it’s more like a Thanksgiving dinner, and just not something we want to eat in the Florida summer.
*NEW* Gâteau au Crémeux Citron, Lavende et Thym, Compote de Fruits Rouges: Warm Cake filled with Lemon, Lavender and Thyme-Infused Cream served with Berry Compote – $6.95
Rank out of 7: 5
Despite the herbs and flavors, this is one-note. It’s tasty, but that taste is essentially just lemon pound cake.
Beignet Caramélisé, Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel: Caramelized Beignet filled with Vanilla Cream and glazed with Caramel Fleur de Sel – $6.50
Rank out of 7: 5
The cream inside is rich and sweet. The pastry is soft and doughy. The caramelized sugar adds a nice, sweet finish, making for a pleasant snack that can be shared. This is a good crème-filled doughnut, but if you want a real French pastry, just go into the pavilion for Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.
Kronenbourg Blanc 1664 Draft Beer (5.0% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.95 for 12 oz.
From Untappd: “1664 Blanc is an original wheat beer. It is a different, fresh and fruity white beer, slightly bitter with hints of citrus and coriander spices.”
*NEW* Jean Bojour Val de Loire: Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley ($13/bottle) – $7.00
From Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd.: “Pale yellow in color. Fresh, aromatic nose with notes of citrus and exotic fruit. A lively, fresh palate with a marked exotic fruit finish.”
La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy: Vodka, Grey Goose L’Orange ($28/bottle), St. Germain Liqueur ($32/bottle), and White and Red Cranberry Juice – $14.50
Rank out of 7: 5
France once again brings an alcoholic slushy to the Festival. This time it’s a very floral and fruity vodka concoction that’s a light pink color. It actually smells like a rose! The St. Germain Liqueur doesn’t overpower the cranberry and orange flavors, which makes for a well balanced cocktail. Recommended.
