Minivan Starts Fire at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort This Morning

A minivan was on fire in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort parking lot at approximately 7:55 a.m. this morning. Kim Kuczmarski Kubitz sent us photos of the fire. Kona Cafe Closing for Refurbishment Starting August 15 at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be closed starting August 15 for a refurbishment. Kona Island will still be open all day. The length of the refurbishment has not been announced, but the Walt Disney World calendar shows Kona Cafe as closed through at least September 1, 2022.
