Those warm summer days are rapidly returning to Central Florida, and just in time, the Dole Whip Lime Margarita from the Barefoot Pool Bar at the Polynesian is here to save the day!
We’ve been seeing quite a few new Dole Whip-inspired drinks pop up recently such as the Dole Whip Mimosa at Wine Bar George, and the Lime Dole Whip Cone, but this new frozen margarita is perfect for the poolside!
The margarita is made up of Corazon Blanco Tequila, Dole Whip Lime soft serve, and is garnished with a lime wedge. The drink comes with your choice of a salted rim or a chili spice salt rim. I decided to get adventurous with this one and went with the chili spice.
The drink comes frozen, but on a hot day like today, it melts fast! It has a pretty strong, tart lime flavor and the tequila definitely hits hard given the generous pour.
WARNING: The chili spice salt rim is very spicy! If spice in your margarita is your thing, this is an amazing drink with a little extra flavor, but if you’re more of a mild-to-no-spice type of person, I’d stick with the traditional salt garnish. Either way, the salt gets somewhat distributed throughout the drink, so expect some spice throughout.
Overall, while I didn’t exactly pick up any hints of Dole Whip in the drink, this is a pretty ideal poolside drink that’s absolutely perfect for your summertime vacation at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It’s tart, but the spice of the chili salt balances everything out. This drink is highly recommended during your next pool visit at the Polynesian!
keep promoting drinking all over disney world (WALT WOULD NEVER HAVE THIS!) but why make it hard on us smokers, just keep two smoking areas in each park(a few more in epcot) if disney doesnt keep the spots most smokers will be smoking all over the park(you dont think for a minute every smoker will be walking a mile or more to smoke. there will be butts all over the place and second hand smoke too!
