Jambo! We’re exploring Animal Kingdom today, so grab your safari gear and let’s go!

We saw Winged Encounters – The Kingdom Takes Flight in front of the Tree of Life. The birds are so brightly colored!

We have to stay hydrated, so we decided to pick up the new “Walk on the Wild Side” Lion King Souvenir Canteen. The Canteen comes with a covering that even has a loop to hook to your belt. These are awesome, and can be purchased for $14.58 with the fountain beverage of your choice.

We can already see the Club 33 construction in the distance. Wow, it’s really coming along. We can’t wait to see how they theme the outside of the fourth Club 33 location at Walt Disney World.

Primeval Whirl doesn’t look too promising. It looks extinct with the vehicles sitting on the track unmoving.

I don’t like the new seating area in Harambe Market. The old area was so bright and colorful. It looks so boring, but it will accommodate a couple extra families now, so I guess somebody must have thought it was worth ripping out the decor. Sad.

If the lines around the park are too long, don’t forget about the Lion King Scavenger Hunt!

Let’s take a little break to check in on the stars of the park, the animals! The tigers were hanging out in the shade.

We decided to prowl around Pizzafari for lunch, and a very nice cast member gave us a Simba cupcake! It’s so cute, and still one of our favorites from Animal Kingdom!

In addition to the construction on Club 33, there is work happening around the drop-off loop in the parking lot.
