Scheduled September Closures for Pin Central and Art of Disney Delayed at Epcot

When a wave of closures at Epcot was announced back in early July, the park’s devoted fan base quaked, and while today still marks the end for many beloved Epcot locations, like the Fountain of Nations, Club Cool, and yes, even Fountain View, it seems a select few other locations are getting a bit of a grace period.

At Art of Disney, which was scheduled to have its final day of operation today, September 7th, it appears the scheduled closure has been delayed for a few more months. According to Cast Members at the location, Art of Disney won’t be closing until December 15th. They also mentioned that the location would reopen on December 16th at the American Adventure.

It’s worth noting, however, that the Art of Disney page still mentions some sort of temporary setup before the actual transition into Heritage Manor:

In any case, it’s nice that Disney art collectors can still browse the fan-favorite store for a few more months. (Meaning you can still score a silver minted Disney Dollar if you so wish.)

Over at Pin Central, Cast Members were relieved today when they realized that their location would also be extended some time. Originally part of the September 7th scheduled closing group, the popular spot for limited edition pins won’t be closing for another few months, set to finally close in January of 2020.

We’re on the ground at Epcot today to gain further insight on the status of closures, as well as document fan favorites for posterity. We’ll keep issuing updates to any closing dates or procedures throughout the day. You can read up on all of the scheduled closures in this post here.
