Now that the holiday decorations in the parks are complete, it’s on to the resorts! The latest resort to receive the Christmas treatment was the Wilderness Lodge. Holiday preparations started last week when a surprise gingerbread log cabin appeared in the lobby. The remaining Christmas decor was put into place yesterday, with the reveal of the full decorations happening today.

The massive Christmas tree stands in the center of the lobby. The tree’s decorations, with Native American and nature influences, play upon the rustic theme of Wilderness Lodge.

  1. We’re coming in on Dec. 7, and I can’t wait! I’ve always wanted to see Disney in December, and I’m thrilled to be staying at such a beautiful place.

  2. My Christmas tree at home is decorated similar to this, inspired by the WL trees. I’ll be visiting the resort along with Ft W next month. Especially interested in the new gingerbread house.

  3. Going down today to join my family already down there at Bay Lake Tower. Checking in later today at Copper Creek cabin!!!! for 3 whole nights. Can not wait! We have always loved Wilderness Lodge, especially at Thanksgiving/Christmas. we celebrate Thanksgiving at Disney every year (at least last 12 years) and usually eat at Whispering canyon. This year we are going to Liberty Tree instead as we are celebrating Wednesday so some of our party can head back home Thursday. New traditions with old!
