Good morning from EPCOT! Today, we took a stroll around the world to see what’s new in Disney’s Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.
As we arrived, crowds seemed quite sparse…
That is, until we got inside the gates.
While everyone waited for rope drop, the JAMMitors provided some beats to pump up the crowd.
Over behind Spaceship Earth, we noticed these large objects covered by plastic bags. We aren’t sure what they are yet, but we will keep an eye on them.
Inside the new Pin Traders store, we spotted the new “Park Life” MagicBand. As we reported yesterday, these new bands were pulled from shelves just a day after their release due to connectivity problems.
Inside the soon-to-be-remodeled Mouse Gear, guests were quite excited over the new Mandalorian shirts that debuted today.
Over at Test Track, the line for the ride stretched far outside the entrance into several switchbacks cast members put up outside the main queue.
Inside, one of the photo booths for Test Track was out of order.
Work on the delayed Space 220 restaurant continued, with workers focusing on some of the landscaping outside the site.
Inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends, divers were again hard at work cleaning the manatee tank.
This seahorse was quite photogenic!
Outside The Land, this squirrel found some fallen popcorn kernels.
Meanwhile, his Ibis friend foraged for a snack in the flower bed nearby.
The largescale landscaping project between Imagination! and The Land continues to progress.
From above, we can get a better view of some of the equipment moving in to the project site.
Crowds were practically nonexistent inside the EPCOT Experience this morning.
Crowds started to file in to the Starbucks line.
Meanwhile in Morocco, it was as quiet as a desert morning.
The fan favorite giant tent for sale in the market now has a new photograph showcasing what the tent looks like inside.
In the American Adventure, a feeling of emptiness was prevalent now that Christmas is over and Santa is no longer here.
Over in Italy, preparations are underway for this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.
In Germany, the 4-piece caramel flight is back to its original price of $6.49 after its massive price increase last week.
The China Pavilion also is sporting its New Year’s Eve party framework.
Holiday crowds created a 105-minute wait for Frozen Ever After — just 30 minutes after the World Showcase opened.
That does it for our visit to EPCOT today. Stay tuned to WDWNT for the latest parks news.
Looking forward to being at Epcot for NYE!!! Everything looks wonderful!
