It’s a misty and rainy day in EPCOT. We can’t wait to peruse the park while everyone else hides in their hotel rooms waiting for the sun. Come along with us, and let’s see what’s going on!
Over in front of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, we spotted a stage setup for the EPCOT New Year’s Eve Countdown Spectacular! Are you planning to join in the festivities? It’s a total blast.
Even MouseGear has prepped for New Year’s celebrations with a new window display featuring 2020 merchandise.
We waved hello to our dolphin friends over in The Seas.
Next, we popped over to The Land and saw a 75-minute wait for Soarin’ and a 5-minute wait for Living with the Land.
Back at the International Gateway, we noticed the smoking area has moved for the fifth time in about two months. This time, it’s right before the start of the bridge to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.
Not a whole lot has been going on with the France Pavilion expansion between the holidays and the rain. But we went to check in on our pal Remy and the future site of some delicious crepes, anyway.
On our way back into the park, we spotted a new Guest Relations lobby location! This lobby is next to the new International Gateway ticket booth.
Since it’s 80 degrees here in Orlando, we’ll just pretend those rain drops on the poinsettias are frost. If you stand far back and squint your eyes, it’s believable. Maybe?
We are anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue restaurant. It looks like it will be ready to open just about any day now!
If you need a belated Christmas gift for a pal, this $86 Swarovski Mariah Carey “All I Want for Christmas Is You” ornament is still for sale in the Germany Pavilion.
The wait for Frozen Ever After was quite long, with the line spilling out the door and a posted 90-minute queue.
Me when I think about all the cookies I ate over the holidays.
This Festival of the Holidays collectible coin machine is once again out of the Mickey and Chip and Dale designs. Since Festival of the Holidays ends this week, we expect they will not be restocked.
Over in the United Kingdom pavilion, they are also prepared for a perfectly posh New Year’s Eve celebration!
On our way out of the park, we noticed a tram sitting in the new east tram loop. It looks like it will be ready to transport visitors any day now!
That’s all for our trip to EPCOT today! Be sure to check back with WDW News Today for even more daily park news.
