PHOTOS: Avengers Campus Spider-Man Attraction Construction Keeps Crawling While Sightlines Are Destroyed in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure

Work at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus is progressing as it races to meet its Summer 2020 opening, and today, we’ve got a look at the latest advancements.

From Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in neighboring Cars Land, we can see construction progressing steadily.

Some of the red paneling on the exterior of the future Spider-Man ride is up, revealing the big gap where the logo of W.E.B., or Worldwide Engineering Brigade, will ultimately go.

When construction’s completed, it will serve as a beacon calling guests to help Spider-Man stop his out-of-control Spider-Bots by slinging their own webs!

Here, we see the industrial brickwork that will comprise part of the attraction’s exterior has expanded.

This is the side where guests will enter the “W.E.B. Open House”. The ride is currently expected to open as part of “Phase One” of the land this summer.

Meanwhile, over by Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, construction likely related to the Avengers E-Ticket ride is underway, completely destroying the quaintness of the area. This thing towers over Luigi’s, looking like it will block-out views of the Cadillac Range. I guess Bob Chapek forgot that “with great power, comes great responsibility.” Whether this is the E-Ticket work beginning, some structure to block views of the giant show building that will house the thrill ride, or some new backstage facility forced to move by the construction project, only time will tell.

The E-Ticket, which will open as part of Phase Two of Avengers Campus, will feature guests joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a battle to save the planet from the clutches of “one of the most powerful villains they have ever faced.” Will it be Loki, Ultron, Thanos, or even someone else entirely? Only time will tell, but that’s all for now. Excelsior!

I suppose they should put off constructing any new additions until that whole “invisible construction material” problem is solved.
Is “invisible paint” an option?

Clean sightlines are nice, and Disney definitely takes them into consideration.
But sometimes there aren’t better options.

Complaining about them is easy & simplistic.
Find other things to whine about.

That’s a really “apologist” answer considering the parks had no real sightline problems for decades. “Complaining” also isn’t easy and simplistic when you have to combat a lot of people who try to gloss over such apparent dips in quality by a corporation with seemingly endless funds.
