REVIEW: New Cinderella 70th Anniversary Ice Cream Strikes Midnight at Walt Disney World
If you have been reading Disney news (and menus) this past week, you might have heard a little something about it being the 70th Anniversary of the Disney classic “Cinderella” this month! Walt Disney World is definitely having a ball in providing sweet treats for the celebration.
We’ve already seen the Carriage Cake Pop at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Carriage Cake at Disney Springs and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Cake at the Magic Kingdom. The most recent offering we have spotted is equally as blue and magical as all these offerings and can be found over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Enter the Cinderella 70th Anniversary ice cream. It’s a (blue) vanilla ice cream, served with a white chocolate clock, and decorated with crispy pearls.
Look at that presentation, though! Let’s just take a moment to appreciate its beauty. This thing is almost too adorable to eat.
Almost. We caved and had to have a taste! And we were impressed. Everyone knows you can’t go wrong with that classic, creamy vanilla ice cream, and those crispy pearls added a crunch which complimented the texture of the ice cream perfectly. The sprinkling of “pixie dust“ not only enhanced the iconic Cinderella blue of the dessert but also set it off flying — and clock striking midnight rounded the whole thing off perfectly!
This tasty treat can be found over at Pineapple Lanai, and costs $5.99. Get yours soon, before it turns into a pumpkin!
