*NEW* Mini Chicken Chimis with Chimichurri Corn Pico de Gallo and Chipotle Crema – $8.00
While the presentation was beautiful, these were reminiscent of something you would find in the freezer isle of a grocery store.
The texture and flavor of the chicken were alright, but the chimi was way too thick and doughy.
The corn pico de gallo was excellent and brought a bright flavor to the dish, which also adding some color.
The chipotle crema added some much-needed moisture to the dish. Overall this was a tasty dish, just nothing memorable.
*NEW* Shrimp and Braised Corn with Chorizo (Gluten-Friendly) – $8.25
This shrimp dish was very good. The shrimp was marinated and cooked perfectly!
The corn that accompanied the shrimp was delicious and added a robust, roasted flavor. The chorizo was tender and added an additional layer of flavor.
*NEW* Mickey-shaped Caramel-Peanut-Milk Chocolate Macaron – $6.50
This Mickey-shaped sweet treat was an interesting surprise. At first glance, we were sure it would be nice and soft, but it actually ended up being extremely chewy.
The filling was peanut-flavored, with little bits of caramel inside the ears.
The outer shell was hard and extremely chewy, just like the caramel. This macaron wasn’t overly sweet, just a very strange consistency.
*NEW* Fields & Orchards with Elderflower and Artichoke Liqueurs (Alcoholic) – $14.00
You know it’s a bad sign when we didn’t even finish this drink. Overall, it was just too acidic and syrupy.
Plus, this drink was very sticky. Overall, we would not recommend this one.
*NEW* Farmstand Punch (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.00
Nothing stood out about this drink, either. It was basically like drinking a glass of fruit punch.
It did have a nice ombre-effect to it, but that wasn’t enough for us to recommend this one, either.
The 2020 Food & Wine Festival is running from February 28th to April 21st, leaving you plenty of time to try all of the new items at the Off the Cob marketplace.
