It’s a bright and sunny afternoon here at Disney Springs, and it’s also time for a snack! We stopped at Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC to see how they were handling the social distancing measures and to pick up some lemon tea cake.
The line extends outside of the small bakery, with guests standing six feet apart with markers on the ground. A team member stands out by the door to keep track of many people to let in at a time––only one party is let in at a time.
There’s little shade offering in the line, but the wait isn’t too long before you’re inside the bakery.
As you move inside, there’s taped off squares for guests to wait by.
There’s also a taped off section in front of the counter for guests to move about while looking at the display case and to purchase their baked goods.
Inside the little squares is an Erin McKenna’s Bakery sticker. It’s a little touch to make the social distance markers a bit unique.
Guests move about to the far side of the store before they can step up to the display case and counter.
Team members stand behind the counter, wearing masks and awaiting to take your order and payment.
There are plenty of delicious treats to pick from, from loaves to cupcakes––all held within the display case or on tiered cake stands until you pick one out to purchase.
Social distance markers and limiting capacity is all a part of the new safety measures put into Disney Springs as they reopen stores and restaurants across the property.
