Walt Disney World Issues Survey About Interest in Attractions, Including Country Bear Jamboree

Could changes be coming to the Country Bear Jamboree? Walt Disney World is sending out surveys about attractions, inquiring about guest interest.

KSTU reporter John Franchi posted a screenshot of his survey on Twitter, which asked about the attraction that’s entertain guests since the Magic Kingdom’s opening day.

Franchi noted that Disney asked if they felt the attraction matched terms like “excited,” “boring,” or “inspirational.”

Last year, it was rumored that Country Bear Jamboree might be replaced with a Toy Story-themed marionette show, though Disney later denied the rumors.

WDWNT has also learned that others received similar surveys about attractions including Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress and Muppet*Vision 3D. While these attractions rarely have long wait times, they have proven to have sizable fanbases.

  1. the country bears have to stay. they are a classic the new generation of disney fans will love it. disney needs to stop getting rid of attractions splash mountain was bad enough it needs to stay and so does country bears

  2. Country Bear Jamboree is a true WDW Classic. I do hope it will stay, but I would like to see the songs and interaction between characters be refreshed. A classic element or song could remain to appease us who saw it from its inception. I think some current or mire recent cover songs would attract a number of younger fans.

  3. I’m old school Disney.
But I’m not one jaded by nostalgia.
Country Bear Jamboree & Carousel of Progress have served their purpose, and offer virtually nothing of interest for today’s younger generation.
These shows are simply not in the same class of entertainment as other classics.
    Time to go!

  4. I love the Country Bear Jamboree, and I go to it on every visit. Big Al and Trixie are my favorites. Plus, it’s an adorable way to escape the heat and sit for a while without a huge line in the way. They already destroyed the Disneyland one and replaced it with a terrible ride based on a great IP (Winnie the Pooh). I hope they don’t take the WDW one too.

  5. I love Country Bear Jamboree, but it is very outdated (and sexist). OK by me to replace it. The Soarin’ pavillion was always too congested, so one way walkways is an improvement!

  6. How about instead of asking people, which that is not how businesses work, enhancing/plussing the attraction and doing the holiday overlays again. Didn’t see them do a survey on Splash Mountain did you? How about Stitch or Primeval Whirl?

  7. Some of my fondest memories of WDW involve the Country Bears Jamboree. Scratch that – the fondest. PLEASE DO NOT get rid of such a classic!!!

  8. Does Disney consider updating these classic, iconic rides? What if they created all new animatronics for them and maybe a different decoration scheme instead of getting rid of them? I personally would prefer that with some rides.

  9. I got a survey like that a week or so ago about It’s a Small World. They asked about the attraction and if it was adventurous, exciting, dark, creepy, scary, happy, thoughtful, etc. Of course, I had to say it’s creepy and fun at the same time.

  10. The Country Bear Jamboree has pretty much a full house for each show, so I don’t know why they would want to replace it. Why even consider replacing it with a Toy Story concept, there is already a whole Toy Story Land. The folks and I have been going to Disney World for many years, but each year we have a running joke on what Disney is going to screw up next, and if we especially like something, there is a good chance Disney will change or destroy it. Hate to mention it, but now is the time for companies like Disney to jump on the Woke train (let’s change Splash, Hall of Presidents, Rename Tom Sawyer Island, remove the Bears, etc…) but the saying “Get Woke, go Broke” has some validity. Ask Disney about their latest A&E decisions or the failing ESPN…
