PHOTOS: “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!” Theater Reopens as Mobile Order Wait Area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With most shows still closed throughout Walt Disney World, it seems this is the closest we’ll be getting to the “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!” show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The theater used for the show has since reopened as a waiting area for guests who’ve placed Mobile Orders at the nearby Backlot Express.

You enter the waiting area through the Exit of the show.

To aid in social distancing, some rows are roped off in the theater, with entire segments also blocked out to avoid guests filling up entire rows.

Cast Members are stationed at the base of the stairs to keep guests from jumping in and making any stunt shows of their own on the stage.

Do note that while the area is designated for Mobile Order guests, guests simply looking for a shaded place to sit are also welcome to enjoy the space. However, guests must keep their masks on at all times, as this is not an assigned Relaxation Station—those are over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and at Star Wars Launch Bay.

The theater is only open from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM on days where Backlot Express is especially busy, and guests will be asked to vacate the theater by 2:00 PM. Will you be utilizing this space the next time you Mobile Order from Backlot Express? Are you eager for the return of the “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!”? Let us know in the comments.

I wish I was back up on that stage again, working as an extra in the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Anyone can try to get a part as an extra; they ask for volunteers from the audience before the show starts (tip: your chance of being chosen is better if you’re enthusiastic). It was fun. No pay, of course.
