PHOTOS: Construction Continues to Advance at the France Pavilion Expansion in EPCOT

Bonjour once again from EPCOT! The weather was nice, so we took a ride on the Disney Skyliner to check out how the France Pavilion expansion is coming along. Let’s take a look!

Lately, greenery has been added to the site, allowing the area to feel like a real neighborhood. Here, we see some trees adjacent to La Crêperie de Paris, which got its sign on Sunday.

Shrubs have also been added, including this spot around the tan building.

The addition of light fixtures and plants help make this wide walkway seem very inviting. This is sure to be a pretty place to visit when it opens, day or night.

Without the construction workers, it gives the courtyard a sense of peace. (Of course, once the workers leave for good, the guests will come in, meaning it’ll be busier than ever.)

Underneath this canopy, we can see what looks like queue fencing, possibly to hold guests for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Plenty of construction equipment still remains behind the park walls.

Even from above, the structure looks nice.

The building facades come in a variety of colors.

Along the street, we can see signage up on a facade for a patisserie.

It’s the little touches like these that make EPCOT so special.

Meanwhile, the entrance to the attraction is obscured from this angle by the surrounding buildings, making its appearance even more dramatic as guests enter the station.

As we swing back around to EPCOT, we can see a little more of the courtyard, as well as the new restrooms that will be part of the expansion.

I can’t wait to enjoy a crepe and just take in the scenery here.

More trees are found along the path that connects it to the existing France Pavilion.

  1. Always GREAT coverage of this newest attraction! Thank you! At the back of the courtyard, next to the new bathrooms, there seems to be a new winding trail that leads to the place were the Friendship Boats temporarily stop before docking at the International Gateway. I know this new trail is not for guests (more likely to allow boat captains to use the bathroom), but could you get some pictures of this too? Please? Odd request, to be sure! Just curios though.
