Something has stopped us now, and at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, if your ride vehicle is stopped, you get to hear an adorable spiel featuring Mickey and a narrator host. You can check out the full overhead announcement in our YouTube video below:

As you can see in the video, depending on where you’re stopped, the atmospheric effects will continue, like wind in the carnival scene. Then, the audio will cut off for the overhead announcement:

Host: Attention riders, we have temporarily stopped Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Please remain seated.

Mickey: Say announcer, I was wondering… do you have to remain seated too?

Host: No Mickey, I’m just a voice.

Themed announcements will alternate with more straightforward ones, like the one that followed:

Host: Attention Railroad riders, please remain seated. Your Runaway Railway will be back on its way immediately.

And before we knew it, we were back on our way! Yes, nothing can stop us now aboard Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! If the host’s voice sounded somewhat familiar, it’s because she’s the voice of Disney California Adventure over at Disneyland Resort.

Do note that the attraction does see fairly regular downtime, but not nearly as much as the park’s other E-ticket, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Between crowds, routine cleanings, and ride breakdowns, expect long wait times to experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
