The audio announcement that periodically plays at Walt Disney World theme parks reminding guests to follow health and safety guidelines has been updated once again. This update states that guests not following face mask guidelines will be asked to leave. Below is the transcript of the announcement.
For the health and safety of everyone, face coverings must fully cover your nose and mouth, and be worn at all times, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary. Guests that do not comply will be asked to leave. Wash your hands often and thoroughly. Cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing and maintain physical distancing. Thank you.
The announcement also explicitly states that these guidelines are for everyone’s health and safety. You can listen to the announcement in our video below.
This addition reflects signs that have been added to the parks instructing guests to properly wear approved face coverings.
We saw plenty of these signs at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today.
In September, a video showed a man being removed from Disney’s Hollywood Studios for not wearing a mask, so we know Disney is taking this seriously. Despite Florida transitioning into “Phase 3”, a face mask mandate is still in effect for all of Orange County in Orlando, and face masks are required at most locations.

Super magical experience. And Disney wonders why they are suffering from out-of-state and non-AP attendance. Those populations provide the bulk of primary and incremental revenue from vacation packages, add-ons, etc.
I’m happy they’re enforcing it. In fact that’s one of the reasons me and husband even decided to go this year. Everybody can yell about “their rights” but when “their rights” of not wanting to wear a mask and possibly spread a deadly contagion violates “my rights” of not wanting to get sick or die “their rights” are now void. Everybody has rights until were all stepping on each others toes.
The community I live in has had, in total since the outbreak, 18 cases and we are a massive tourists destination. Our community is also very strict about sanitizing, cleaning and enforcing the state law about wearing masks.
Yes, it doesn’t feel good and it is a MINOR inconvenience however if were going through a world wide pandemic, the first in a very long time, and all we have to do is wear fabric masks then were doing great! THINGS. CAN. ALWAYS. BE. WORSE.
It’s not the enforcement that bothers me, it is the lack of kindness. The lack of guest service involved
