Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom

- The “Sharing the Magic” statue featuring Roy O. Disney and Minnie Mouse at the entrance to the park has been moved, but the good news is that this is the location of the park’s iconic Christmas tree, meaning the holidays are just around the corner
- While the illuminated canopy continues taking shape at TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom, the last of the siding for the attraction’s show building is being installed
- Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat have both closed for a months-long refurbishment at the Magic Kingdom and with the Rivers of America being drained for the work, we got a neat “behind-the-scenes” look at parts of the Riverboat track
- The Opera Singer Ghost has been absent from The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom for several weeks now, but she’s finally back entertaining guests as they ride through the graveyard in their doom buggy
- Yet another gun incident has been reported at the Walt Disney World Resort, this time taking place at the Ticket & Transportation Center, where a guest was arrested for carrying a concealed loaded 9mm gun—and attempting to ditch it behind a planter
EPCOT

- If you’re at Walt Disney World today, you’re going to want to look up to the skies for stunning views of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, performing a special flyover in honor of past and current military, as well as fallen warriors, and if you’re not able to see it in person, you can watch it here

- The official attraction marquee for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has finally been installed inside the France Pavilion expansion at EPCOT, and we have your first look here
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Disney has announced newly-revamped boarding group procedures for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in light of guest feedback, allowing guests to now have the option of booking as early as 7:00 AM on the day of their Disney Park Pass reservation from the comfort of their hotel room or any location “near” the park
Disney Springs
- One of the surest signs that the holiday season is nearly upon us has arrived at Disney Springs — we spotted “snoap” machines being installed around the Town Center section of the complex
Other Walt Disney World News
- Leanza Cornett, who was crowned Miss America in 1993 and portrayed Ariel at the debut of “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” at the former Disney-MGM Studios, has died at the age of 49

- Monorail Blue is back in action at Walt Disney World after a refurbishment gave it a somewhat refreshed interior
Disneyland Resort
- As Disney California Adventure prepares to reopen select shopping and dining offerings for the holiday season, safety signage has been installed at the park gates reminding them of the new rules in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic
- The flavors of fall can be found all around the Downtown Disney District and today, we’ve got an intriguing new addition perfect to satisfy your sweet tooth — Pumpkin Churro Toffee from Marceline’s Confectionery
- While Walt Disney World’s phased reopening is well underway, the Disneyland Resort’s reopening remains stalled, with hotel cancellations now extending through November 14
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Back in June, the Oriental Land Company reduced salaries for their executives until March 2021 amid the low business performance surrounding the COVID-19 extended closure, and after disappointing Q2 earnings and a projection of continued low performance, the executives’ salary reduction has been steepened
Disneyland Paris

- Yesterday we broke the news that Disneyland Paris will be closing once again on October 30th due to a lockdown order within France, and now the park has announced that the closure will run through at least February 12, 2021, with reservations being taken for December 19 – January 3 in hopes of being able to reopen partially for the Holiday season
New Merchandise
- Flash back to the ’90s and “ride the movies” with this all-new Universal Studios retro marquee windbreaker now available at Universal Orlando Resort
- You can now find Robin Hood, Pinocchio, and Enchanted Storybook Journals at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District, and they look like they’ve just been pulled off the screen of these classic animated films
- The Mickey and Minnie Mouse Mini Backpack by Loungfly that we loved on shopDisney has hit the racks at World of Disney in Disneyland
The Walt Disney Company
- Disney has once again fired back as part of their continued attempt to cast doubt over a meticulously-worded and researched letter sent by Senator Elizabeth Warren to company executives Bob Iger and Bob Chapek, but Chapek’s response still leaves much unanswered
Universal Studios
- Despite revenue being down over 80% in the third fiscal quarter, Universal Parks & Resorts expressed optimism that they will break even in 2021
Universal Studios Japan

- The happy holiday season is almost upon us at Universal Studios Japan, and the park has revealed a few special treats exclusive to the holiday season this year, like the new “Harry Potter” Hogwarts House Churros, Santa Minion Buns, and Drinkable Potato Chips
