Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto Confirms Plans to Open Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood

During a December 18 livestream, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto gave fans a preview of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan. The immersive Nintendo-themed land opens February 4, 2021. Mr. Miyamoto also confirmed that Super Nintendo World is coming to Universal theme parks in Orlando and Hollywood.

In August, we reported that Super Nintendo World construction had begun at Universal Studios Hollywood. In Orlando, Super Nintendo World will be located at Universal’s Epic Universe, which was originally slated to open in 2023, but is now indefinitely delayed.

  1. There’s figuratively nobody at Universal Creative even working on Epic Universe. There were so many laid off during the pandemic, and those left still have to get Universal Beijing, Velocicoaster, and Nintendo Hollywood online.. Epic won’t open before 2025.
