Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- With the news that Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort will not be reopening until March 22, 2021, Disney is now contacting guests to transfer their reservation to another resort for no extra charge
- Exterior construction work on the upcoming Walt Disney World Swan Reserve hotel is nearing completion, with the only visible construction activity taking place on the top floor

- In what is likely one of the weirdest criminal cases to tie into Walt Disney World this year, another case of post-pandemic PPP loan fraud has surfaced, linking a fake Orlando ministry with an attempted home purchase at Golden Oak, the upscale residential community within the Walt Disney World Resort
Disneyland Resort

- With Disneyland Park remaining closed through the end of 2020, guests won’t be able to experience the holiday decorations of Walt Disney’s original park but thankfully, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, shared a look at one piece of Christmas decor that was still placed this year — Cast Members have put a small Christmas tree in the window of Walt’s apartment above the Disneyland fire station
Disneyland Paris
- Disney Junior Dream Factory, which was delayed to the COVID-19 pandemic, will open at Walt Disney Studios Park in 2021, and Disneyland Paris has shared a sneak preview of the new show
- The massive overhaul of Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is nearly complete at Disneyland Paris, and we’ve gotten a look at the changes being made, including enhanced effects and a new exterior, as part of the Disneyland Paris InsidEARS virtual Christmas presentation
New Merchandise

- The next monthly collection from shopDisney is going to be inspired by everyone’s favorite alien dog, Stitch, in the upcoming “Stitch Crashes Disney” collection
- This year marks the 80th anniversary of Fantasia, and Disney has been celebrating with limited-edition pins, apparel, and more, and now Funko is getting into the game with the release of four new Funko Pops of characters from the classic film
- We’ve already spotted some 2021 apparel, ear headbands, and more merchandise at Disneyland Resort, but now even more 2021 items have arrived at Downtown Disney District

- You can now welcome Baby Yoda (a.k.a. “The Child” a.k.a. Grogu) into your home this holiday season with a new augmented reality feature from Google

- Abigail Disney, the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, is once again expressing concern about The Walt Disney Company and the tug-of-war between the creativity of the company’s brand and a corporate ideology that has deepened the pay divide between hourly workers and executives
- According to Deadline, The Walt Disney Company is not paying royalties to authors that wrote novelizations for franchises it has acquired, including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer novelists, although specific author names are not provided
