A few days ago, Rivers of America at Magic Kingdom began to be refilled following a refurbishment of the Liberty Square Riverboat track. Now the river is almost completely back to its former glory.
At first glance, the river may look fully refilled, but lines on poles reveal the usual waterline.
This sign apologizing for all the “ruckus” is still up, although no construction is currently visible.
Harper’s Mill on Tom Sawyer Island was recently reconstructed.
Both Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat are scheduled to remain closed through February as refurbishment continues out of sight.
Until then, we’re just glad to have Rivers of America back. Keep checking WDWNT for more updates.
I’m glad they are filling it back up. It looked like a mud hole when we were there. I took a lot of pictures because I thought it was historic. I had never seen Rivers of America without water. I only went to Tom Sawyer Island once in my life. Did they paint over Harper’s Mill as a cancel culture move? I also wonder how long DIsney leadership will allow it to be Tom Sawyer Island.
