Magic Kingdom

- The popular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game is closing at the end of this month, after almost eight years of operation at Walt Disney World, due to decreased demand for the game
EPCOT
- Greetings, World Travelers, and welcome to a beautiful day at EPCOT where we found lots of Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts preparations underway to bring you in this most recent photo report
- With the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts starting tomorrow, photo-ops, chalk art, and activities are already being set up and among the returning activities is the Expression Section paint-by-numbers mural, modified from previous years to allow for social distancing
- This year’s Festival of the Arts at EPCOT will bring an all-new Food Studio named “Vibrante & Vívido”, which translates from Spanish as “Vibrant & Vivid”, a nod to Mary Blair’s art fused with Latin American flavors inspired by Central and Southern America
- Most of the food studios for the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts 2021 have now posted their menus around EPCOT, showcasing the dishes (and prices) guests can expect from the festival that begins tomorrow
- The Voices of Liberty are returning to EPCOT for the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with a new “Disney Songbook” showcase, and we have their whole schedule lineup here
- We got our hands on a Festival Passport booklet a day early to bring you a first look at all the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will have to offer when it opens tomorrow
- “Characters Off The Page” paintings have arrived at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and while these paintings are usually placed next to character meet-and-greets throughout EPCOT, this year they are all centralized in the UK Pavilion courtyard

- The Donald Duck Audio-Animatronic remains missing as of yesterday on Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros at EPCOT, after having been removed two days ago
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Though construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is most obvious on the Monorail station and Great Ceremonial House, we’ve been getting glimpses at the future Moana rooms where today, Cast Members were transporting furnishings to the rooms
Other Walt Disney World News
- A few days ago, we learned about the new “Robo-Carts” now available at some Walt Disney World golf courses — self-driving club carrier carts that follow guests using GPS technology — and now Disney Golf has released more information on what to expect of the new technology

- Now that the holidays are over, park hours will be reduced beginning next week at Walt Disney World
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Hot on the heels of Tokyo jumping from 1591 to a record 2447 new cases of COVID-19 in just one day, Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has officially declared a State of Emergency from January 8th through at least February 7th in the four prefectures around Tokyo, including Chiba Prefecture, home of Tokyo Disney Resort, prompting the Oriental Land Company to shorten hours at both theme parks and Ikspiari shopping center
- In addition to the shortened hours, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that the Disney Light the Night fireworks show will be suspended again beginning January 8th
New Merchandise
- Dooney & Bourke’s new limited edition Disney Dogs MagicBand has now arrived at Walt Disney World, after having been on shopDisney for the last week
- D23 has just revealed their first plush in the Disney Treasures From the Vault collection, and while this might seem like your average “Lady and the Tramp” plush, there’s some fascinating history behind it linking it to Walt Disney himself
- Disneyland has a new collection of embroidered items featuring flowers and hidden Mickeys that includes a purse and apparel, so you can put together an entire outfit
- Downtown Disney District has a new vintage-inspired sweatshirt and sweatpants now available in The Dress Shop, perfect for a cozy outfit at home or a warm outfit for visiting Disneyland
- Yesterday was the first Wishables Wednesday of 2021, bringing two brand new sets of plush to the Magic Kingdom — The Disney Parks Transportation and Mad Tea Party collections

- In light of recent events that took place at the U.S. Capitol yesterday, Bob Chapek, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, has issued a statement via the company’s Twitter account
