Hello from a sunny, beautiful day here at EPCOT! We had a whirlwind day filled with exciting new updates, so let’s get started!
We started out our day by getting to check out the brand new second set of flag poles which were installed overnight in front of Spaceship Earth. With the arrival of the first set of flag poles on the Eastern side of the entrance yesterday, this area is now complete and ready for flags.
Moving further into the park, we saw that demolition has finally begun on the metal framing of Innoventions West. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The most exciting part of our day was finding this new barge on World Showcase Lagoon. The barge is currently floating in between the two show barges, and appears to be carrying the arms for another piece of Harmonious set. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Moving around World Showcase, we found very little had changed at La Gelateria in the Italy Pavilion, with the front awning still wrapped in plastic. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this location.
Back in FutureWorld, construction continues on the future location of Mouse Gear and Club Cool, and we noticed another wooden doorway installed in Innoventions East. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The entire facade of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is now covered in blue weatherproofing material. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The Butterfly House next to The Land Pavilion had it’s signage installed last night in preparation for opening as a part of the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival next week.
We found the Three Caballeros topiary today just outside of the Mexico Pavilion and the EPCOT Experience. We’re happy to see these three singing their hearts out!
This patio garden was installed last night, with planters, patio furniture, and theming all placed nicely around this area across the walkway from Cool Wash.
We found Joy greeting guests near The Imagination Pavilion, and she made us smile with her antics. We love physically distanced character meet and greets!
Over at the Refreshment Outpost, we found that not only is the Warm Brown Sugar-stuffed Pretzel from the Festival of the Arts still available, but the soft serve flavors here are now strawberry and banana! That means that when you order the pretzel, you can choose between strawberry, banana, or those two flavors swirled as your soft serve topping. Apparently vanilla was too, well, vanilla.
We found a new ear hat today, but not just any ear hat: The Mickey graduation caps of 2021 have arrived! For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We had a great day at EPCOT today, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
