Walt Disney World

Magic Kingdom

• The stage in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom has been blocked off with a row of shrubbery and several sections of it are covered in scrim
• We’re in for an extremely busy day at the Magic Kingdom — mostly due to the influx of guests as part of Presidents Day weekend, but also in part because of a few attractions experiencing some very unfortunate downtime given the crowd levels — but nothing can stand in the way of bringing you this photo report
• Bonjour! Village Gifts in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom has been undergoing a questionable paint job over the last week or so and now the exterior seems to be finished, as the wall of shrubbery has been removed, which blocked most of the building from guest access
• The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover remains closed for an extended refurbishment at Magic Kingdom, but today we spotted a couple of Cast Members riding the attraction

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• We reported last year that a new Relaxation Station opened in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but that location has now moved to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular theater

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• With the release of Raya and the Last Dragon just around the corner, two new experiences inspired by the film are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom — guests will be able to learn how to draw characters from the film at The Animation Experience in Conservation Station, and on Discovery Island Stage, artists will be creating a 40-ton sand sculpture featuring Raya and other characters from the film

Disney Springs

• During our trip to Disney Springs today, we took a ride on the Aerophile helium balloon to get a view of Disney Springs and EPCOT from the sky, and we want you to come along for the ride

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• The Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is currently closed for refurbishment and we stopped by the resort today to see how work was progressing on the project since our last visit
• Cast Members across Walt Disney World Resort are getting new costumes and at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Centertown Market Cast Members have a new apron inspired by The Little Mermaid

Other Walt Disney World News

• Last year, James Rosemergy at TouringPlans.com attempted to become a “Disney Cyborg” by having a MagicBand chip implanted in his arm and in response to this and other reported experiments, Disney has added a label to MagicBand boxes warning users not to do this
• After extending their discounted ticket offer for active and retired members of the U.S. military, Walt Disney World has now extended their discounted Memory Maker offer as well
• Homewood Suites by Hilton will be opening this week at Flamingo Crossings Town Center near Walt Disney World
• A new bus wrap has debuted at Walt Disney World celebrating “WandaVision” on Disney+
• Walt Disney World and Chevrolet have collaborated to reveal two all new electric vehicles, the Bolt EUV and Bolt EV, in a series of commercials featuring some favorite Walt Disney World characters like the Hitchhiking Ghosts, Figment, and more

Disneyland Resort

• Downtown Disney District reached its max limited capacity today and is now closed to all guests except those with dining reservations

New Merchandise

• A truly timeless Limited Edition WandaVision Magic Band was released today at the Walt Disney World Resort
• Disney and Native have teamed up for new shoes inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, now available at Walt Disney World
• Last year, a series of Limited Edition EPCOT attraction posters were released on shopDisney and now, the Limited Edition Soarin’ Around The World poster has been rereleased, but only for a limited time
• Several Germany Pavilion drinkware items previously only available in the Annual Passholder shop at EPCOT are now available for all guests, plus there’s a new Germany-themed Tervis tumbler available in the pavilion
• Fans of Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast will love these two new colorful pins found today at the Magic Kingdom
