Greetings, World Travelers from a hot but beautiful day here in Walt Disney World! It was a windy, steamy day here around the parks, but we still had a great time finding all the new things to show you. Let’s get started!
Upon entering EPCOT, we saw that the pavement work at the base of Spaceship Earth had been half completed. These planters, which had been surrounding the mirrored column, had been removed from the right-hand side, revealing fresh pavement. The left-hand side is still under construction.
Nearby, the Main Entrance East Restrooms finally received their new sign, which matches the rest of the signage throughout the refurbished restrooms. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
In the France Pavilion, work continues with this new strip of fresh concrete last night. Scoring marks in other parts of the Pavilion close by show that work is far from done here.
In the Morocco Pavilion inside of the “Race Against The Sun” exhibit, the handle was removed from the side door in the exhibit. With no other way to open the door, this area now has only one way in or out.
At Choza de Margarita in the Mexico Pavilion, additional plexiglass dividers have been added to promote physical distancing while ordering food and beverages.
Speaking of food, we found several locations recently where individual beers had been removed from the menu and replaced with a “Seasonal Beer” option, including at the snack cart in the Norway Pavilion. While we’re sad to see some of the usual favorites no longer available all the time, we’re excited to see what seasonal offerings will arrive.
At The Joy of Tea in the China Pavilion, we found new Daily Specials. The drink is Peach Liquor with Fresh Strawberry Milk, and the snack is Salt & Pepper Popcorn Chicken. While we’ve seen drink specials here before, this is the first time we’ve seen a snack special here. We’re looking forward to trying it!

We had a great time at EPCOT, but we weren’t ready to go home yet! We heard about some fun new food offerings in Batuu, so we headed over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
First, we tried the new vegetarian option from Ronto Roasters, the Zuchii Wrap. We were pleasantly surprised with this dish! For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
Next, we picked up the latest in galactic cutlery, the long-awaited Souvenir Spork. For more pictures and information, check out our article here. With our meal finished, we headed out to the Magic Kingdom to check on the construction progress there, as several projects are underway.
The illuminated canopy of TRON Lightcycle / Run, as seen from The Contemporary Resort, has almost all of its pieces in place. The metal framing holding it up is slowly being pulled away as well.
Construction on Cinderella Castle Stage is coming along well, with the framing complete across the whole floor, metal coils are now being added starting at stage left. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
At the Swiss Family Treehouse, the canopies covering the walkways have been removed, and some of the wooden uprights have been marked with blue tape.
Back in Town Square, the marquee for the Town Square Theater has been removed for refurbishment, and the meet and greet signs on either side have also been removed in favor of these vinyl banners. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We spotted some returning Springtime balloons featuring Thumper from Bambi today on Main Street, USA. This balloon is available in three colors for $14.
