As we’ve kept up with the demolition of Innoventions West, it’s sometimes hard to see the true extent of the destruction at EPCOT while on the ground. Thanks to Jonathan Salazar (@TheDisneyPilot), we now have an aerial view of the progress.

It’s hard to believe that nearly the entire Innoventions West is now demolished. What seemed like a slow process has really taken off in recent days. In the photo above, we can also peek at the progress that has been made thus far on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which has been pretty much paused since applying the blue weatherproofing sheathing to the façade about a week ago.

With just some of the building structure remaining, soon we’ll see barren land where Innoventions West once stood.

Once the structural supports are completely removed, the entirety of the land that once housed Innoventions West, Character Spot, Club Cool, and Fountain View will become Moana – Journey of Water and more the World Celebration neighborhood. Some of it was supposed to become a festival pavilion, but now is just being marketed as a festival area.

As for Innoventions East, the bird’s-eye view allows us to see the lineup of equipment being used to currently transform the buildings and renew Mouse Gear. You can also notice all the work that has been done to the roof.
What do you think about this demolition project? Are you excited to see the new neighborhoods come to EPCOT? Let us know in the comments!
