With the reopening of Disney’s Blizzard Beach, we found a few new things: new food, new covered seating, and now, new trashcans.
The new trashcans are open in the front and the back. With new health and safety protocols in place, other trashcans simply have the lid propped open on the inside. However, the new ones don’t have a flipping lid at all.
As seen in other sections of the park, not all trashcans are the same. Some areas still have the older, propped-open trashcans. Nonetheless, we still appreciate not having to touch the trashcan to throw out garbage.

This is long overdue. I hate touching the can lip and guaranteed to be getting your hands dirty. Enough to have to find a wash room as hand sanitizers isn’t enough. I understand that the closing lids were to keep the smell down, but Disney finally figured out that they change the garbage more than enough to make sure that they were not smelly in the first place.
Yeah, it’s amazing how a little common sense goes a long way!
