As the Orlando Sentinel reports, the public does not receive many details regarding theme park injuries in Florida. For example, Universal reported in 2019 that a guest experienced “numbness” after he broke his neck on a Volcano Bay waterslide and was unable to move.
Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and other Central Florida theme parks are required to report the most serious injuries where visitors are hurt on rides or hospitalized for 24 hours.
As somebody that frequently gets motion sick on simulator rides, I find it absurd that they would report this. It makes me think there is something else to that report.
I’m shocked that I did not make the report. I broke my wrist in two places at Disney Springs. Maybe Disney Springs doesn’t count.
First and ONLY clue: THEME PARK. yeah, you wouldn’t be included on this report. NEXT
