PHOTOS: More TRON Lightcycle Run Temporary Canopy Framework Supports Disconnected Ahead of Removal at Magic Kingdom

Our last update of the construction at TRON Lightcycle / Run saw the removal of temporary canopy supports from the framework. Although many temporary supports still remain, we noticed that many are now disconnected, soon to be removed as well.

The brown structures were in place to support the integrity of the canopy framework as its construction continued.

After the canopy frame structure was completed, we noticed the supports coming down as they were no longer needed. Now, some of the remaining temporary supports have been disconnected from the framework.

Many brown supports remain in place in the area closest to the show building. The American flag sits at the canopy’s highest point as a way to “top off” the structure.

With the majority of temporary supports removed, we can now see Space Mountain through the attraction.

  1. In the second to the last picture, lower left, you can see the rails and ties for the new track to be installed underneath the Tron Lightcycle Run canopy to complete the Walt Disney World Railroad loop around Magic Kingdom.

  2. I can’t wait for the Opening of Tron: Lightcycle Run at the Magic Kingdom for the 50th birthday next year. Awesome News!
