Guests cruising through the greenhouses of Living with the Land can discover the history of farming, new agricultural techniques, and fruits and vegetables aplenty from around the world. However, today we discovered something a little bit different about the boat tour at EPCOT — the addition of scaffolding.

Upon entering one of the greenhouses, guests are met with a “Dream Builders” sign with a quote from Walt Disney stating “There’s enough land here to hold all the ideas and plans we can possibly imagine,” indicating that some refurbishment work may be done to the attraction.

Scaffoldings with wood-block bases tower over the various plants found inside the greenhouse.

Guests visiting EPCOT are used to seeing construction (and demolition) around the theme park. This makes us wonder what work will be done inside Living with the Land. Based on the appearance of this site, we would guess some maintenance on the roof.

The new metal additions to the attraction do distract from the horticulture, so we hope that they’ll be gone soon.

  1. I wish they would do something better with the fish that have to swim in circles in the small tank. I also miss all of the talking produce and the show they used to have in there in the 80’s/90’s.
