Two of Disney’s upcoming live-action films, Free Guy, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will be released exclusively to theaters for 45 days. After those 45 days, they may also go to streaming services, including Disney+.

Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds, will hit theaters on August 13, 2021. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Marvel’s Labor Day blockbuster, will be released on September 3, 2021. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings may be blocked from release in China, along with Marvel’s Eternals.

Upcoming films including Cruella, Black Widow, and Jungle Cruise will still be released in theaters and on Disney+ simultaneously.
