Magic Kingdom
- Disney has teased “a special announcement as well as a few ‘shriek peeks’” as part of a countdown to Halloween publicity push and, while we are purely speculating, this could mean the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to the Magic Kingdom
- We started our day very hot but beautiful day at the Magic Kingdom to check in on the construction project there, and then shuttled over to Disney Springs where we found some fun things to show you in this photo report

EPCOT
- EPCOT’s brand new gelato kiosk, Gelateria Toscana, is opening today in the Italy Pavilion
- The new gelato kiosk has much more to offer than just plain gelato, so check out our reviews of many of the new snacks and drinks now available
- The Princess Promenade at EPCOT is the last character cavalcade remaining and where previously Jasmine was in the carriage alongside Belle, Aurora, and Snow White, now Mulan has replaced her
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- If you have a special event or moment coming up, there’s some good news for you — starting May 17, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is offering ‘Capture your Moment,’ a Photopass opportunity that is a 20-minute personalized photo session
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- The beloved dinner service at Chef Mickey’s inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be returning as of May 16th, featuring an “all-you-care-to-enjoy” family-style dinner
- Along with the dinner service at Chef Mickey’s, Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is finally reopening this month, on Tuesday the 18th to be exact
- The new Monorail station at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is taking shape ahead of the hotel’s full reopening later this year, and we have your look at the current construction progress
Other Walt Disney World News
- Under a renewed alliance announced today, AdventHealth will become the Official Health Care Provider at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as the Official Virtual Health Care Provider at Walt Disney World Resort, and they announced plans to build an emergency room located at Flamingo Crossings Town Center
- The Transportation and Ticket Center, or TTC, has been undergoing repainting to match the celebration’s blue and gold color scheme, and now the character fences are gone as the work continues
- EPCOT/World Center Drive has narrowed to one lane, westbound only, as repainting work moves on to the center of the arch to get the final entryway repainted in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World this Fall
Disneyland Resort
- Disney has now announced that the special entrance to Disney California Adventure from at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel will return for Disneyland Resort hotel guests to use later this month
- It has just been announced that Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen and welcome back guests starting June 15, 2021, with limited capacity
- Starting May 20th (and for a limited time), the Alfresco Tasting Terrace will reopen once again, this time just for Disneyland Resort Legacy Passholders
- Disney and Marvel have revealed the “super” new costumes Cast Member will be sporting upon the opening of MARVEL Avengers Campus when it opens on June 4 at Disney California Adventure
- Today we visited Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square as it reopens with new health and safety measures in place
- Self-pay parking machines have finally opened up in Downtown Disney
Disney Cruise Line
- Among all of the Disney Wish’s exciting new experiences is the AquaMouse, Disney’s first attraction at sea, which includes a waterslide that will take guests through an original story set in the world of Mickey Mouse shorts
New Merchandise
- We found this new Indiana Jones themed belt bag today in Walt Disney World
- Today, Red Rose Tavern debuted the Cinderella popcorn bucket for purchase, but there’s no popcorn to be found
- A Disney Parks Funko POP! glow-in-the-dark figure of the Skeleton on Gold Pile from Pirates of the Caribbean was released earlier this year as an exclusive for Funko Virtual Con Spring 2021 but now Funko is bringing the vinyl figure (or a version of it) to ShopDisney on May 10th
- A new collection of beachy jewelry by BaubleBar is now available at Walt Disney World and it’s the perfect addition to Disney’s tropical summer collection
