Hello from a beautifully bright and clear day here at Walt Disney World! We were up early to start our day out at the Magic Kingdom to see what new things we could find there. Let’s get started!
On our way through the Transportation and Ticket Center, we noticed that the sign on the Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea kiosk, which was previously three colors to match the old TTC color scheme, had been repainted a solid blue, in keeping with the current theme.
Inside the park, work continues each night on the replacement of the pavement in Tomorrowland, with this roped off section having been poured most recently.
At the construction site for TRON Lightcycle / Run, installation of the blue netting continues. This section has been left up for a few days now, and appears to be growing in size.
The corner of the show building has been reopened, exposing the attraction track and the reentry tunnel point to “The Grid” once again. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Refurbishment on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is underway, and today we spotted workers moving around near the track in the morning from across Rivers of America.
On the Jungle Cruise, we are happy to report that “Inspiration Falls” is once again inspiring guests “to go” by being fulling functional.
Further on in the attraction, the Pygmy masks were removed from the canoes in the “Pygmy Celebration” scene.
Further on still, the drummers in the “Native Celebration” scene were still not functioning. Just across the water, the attacking natives in the “Ambush” scene were removed. There were originally three sets of animatronic natives. The first set was removed several days ago, while the remaining two were removed last night.
Turning our attention to merchandise, we found a promotion for Alex and Ani bracelets at The Emporium. Any bracelets originally $44.95 or $44.99 were buy two for $80 total, plus tax.
We found three new open edition pins today while shopping at The Emporium. The first featured Thumper from “Bambi” and the other two featured characters from “Winnie the Pooh”. All of the pins retail for $9.99 each.
Next, we found a new lanyard featuring Wishable characters as pins. This lanyard is available at The Emporium for $12.99.
We also found a new Wishables mystery pin bag while at The Emporium. Each bag contains five randomly selected pins, and retails for $29.99.
We found another blind box pin set, this one themed to Tiny Kingdom. This is Series Two, and features well known Disney landmarks. Each box contains three randomly selected pins and retails for $19.99.
Similar to the May the Fourth limited edition pin, we found this First Order limited edition pin at Frontier Trading Co, featuring a character slider in the center which toggles back and forth in between characters. This pin retails for $19.99.
At Star Traders, we found a whole display of new Stitch merchandise, starting with this window decal. This decal retails for $9.99.
We found the perfect way to get into “Vacation Mode” with this Stitch luggage tag. It retails for $12.99.
Moving through the collection, we found this Stitch youth shirt, complete with tied knot at the front center hem. This shirt retails for $29.99.
Our favorite of this collection was this character hoodie sweatshirt, which featured a zipper across the front which hides Stitch’s open mouth. This sweatshirt is available at Star Traders for $64.99.
Our favorite find of the day were these silicone Magickeepers, which come complete with a MagicBand puck now. These keychains retail for $29.99 each.
Moving on to Disney Springs, we found that the face painting station near the entrance to the Marketplace Co-Op had reopened, complete with a sign showing what their designs would look like on masked guests.
At Goofy’s Candy Co, we found new rainbow treats available to guests.
We also found the arrival of new strawberry treats just in time for summer.
In keeping with the mint color trend, perfectly colored desserts have also appeared at Goofy’s Candy Co, which are Key Lime Pie flavored.
With the premiere of the new Disney+ Original Series “Loki” today, we coudn’t help but go get the Loki Mousse Dome Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie. For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
While perusing the merchandise at World of Disney, we found two new “Star Wars” stickers, both of which retail for $4.99 each.
Our favorite find of the day were more of these new Magickeepers. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
