Today, Disney announced further details about the special 50th anniversary dining experience coming to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
“Upstairs at California Grill, a new dining experience will also be available later this year, featuring a limited-time menu with items inspired by the restaurant’s history,” the announcement states.
We noticed a few weeks ago that reservations were unavailable for California Grill after October 2. The reservations page mentioned a “special dining experience for the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort.” But since then, no details have been available until today.

We just ate at California Grill yesterday and yes it’s still awesome !! This will be a huge success
I can’t wait for this as I enjoyed ‘Top of the World’ many times in the early years of WDW. I hope my husband & I will be able to get a res. for this new dining experience. We did the ‘Sip, Savor & Sparkle’ in 2019 and really enjoyed it. As a 50 year WDW goer, I am looking forward to all of the 50th Celebration events.
